Leadership

Founder-Led. Institution-Minded.

GESI leadership working with a racially diverse group of male and female high-school student-athletes

Founder

Obinna Ekezie

Founder & Chief Executive

A former NBA player and entrepreneur, Obinna Ekezie founded GESI to close the gap between what elite professional programs know about athlete development and what most student-athletes ever get access to.

His career spanning professional sport and company building shapes the GESI approach: build infrastructure rather than one-off programs, measure outcomes honestly, and design for adoption by institutions that serve entire communities.

“Talent is everywhere. The systems that develop it are not. That is a solvable problem.”
